Hi, I'm Chris.
Chris Roland was raised in Altus, Oklahoma where he was active in soccer and the high school band. He proudly served in the US Navy for eight years, earning a Master’s Degree in Music Education from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA.
In 2019, Chris moved to Clinton, Oklahoma where he completed his Associate’s Degree in Nursing. He enjoyed working in the community as an LPN at the North Fork Correctional Center in Sayre, Oklahoma and the Blakeburn Clinic in Clinton.
Chris has spent much of his life pursuing his passion in music. He is a talented bass guitarist and tuba player, having traveled the world performing with the Navy Band. Chris continues to perform locally and is currently continuing his education focused on audio production.
In recent years, Chris has developed an interest in community service and volunteering. He serves on the board of BuffaloGrass Arts Institute and Western Oklahoma Pride, groups that have hosted multiple festivals and events over the past two years.
He looks to extend this interest in community service to the city government level, where he hopes to focus on community development and social services, transportation and infrastructure, and equity and inclusion for all Clinton citizens.
Chris is married to his partner, Sarah, with whom he has two sons Jackson and Damian. He is also the proud stepfather to Annabelle, Georgia, Scarlett, and Reuben. In his free time, Chris loves playing sports such as pickle ball and soccer, playing and mixing music in his home studio, and traveling with his family.
